My love for art blossomed at the age of four years old. My mom saw the artistic ability in me, provided me with the pencil and paper; and I would sketch the church members during the service. I was born in Kansas City, Missouri and grew up in Lawrence and Topeka, Kansas. I attended Savannah College Of Art and Design where I obtained a Bachelor of Fine Art degree in Animation and a minor in Storyboarding. I have experience as a freelance artist working on clientele projects, drawing caricatures at various festivals and working on my own personal art pieces. As a multimedia artist, my main focuses are drawing, painting, digital painting and animation. Stories have led me to art therefore let my art lead you to your story.

  • Picture of Jean McGuire

    Jean McGuire

I am a Kansas City native who returned to painting a few years ago after a 40-year hiatus. Happily, even though I wasn’t actively working on my art, my ability to view the world in colors and shapes never went away. I was able to take those observations and transfer them to my medium while maintaining the curiosity and wonder of a newcomer.

An interest in antique photos has lured me into portrait studies. I love the faces, the expressions, and the attitudes of these, usually, long-forgotten people. The theme for all of these portraits is the story behind each picture. I love pondering what kind of life each of them had while I am working on their portrait.

    David

Description goes hereWelcome dear viewers to “Your Imagination.” I’m David Alston, local father, artist, singer and poet born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. Earlier, instead of working on improving my art skills, I joined the US Army and helped my mother financially. Art soon became a pastime activity as I matured in adulthood. A few years ago a Bob Ross program on television caught my attention and quickly reminded me of my once heart filled passion for art. I haven’t been in a classroom to learn more about art since graduating. Passion, desire and the will to learn and grow more will get you there. DVD’s, You tube and mentoring have been my tools to seek success. I hope you enjoy my works, both present and future as I try to appeal to all cultures and styles with concept, creativity and colorful images of the past and present. Thank you so very much for sharing your time and opinions. Much thanks and appreciation goes to all who support my work and continue to provide me with opportunities and a vision.
